Non-profit
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official ecolabel in the Nordic region, established by the Nordic Council of Ministers in 1989 to provide consumers and purchasers with reliable environmental information about products. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is run on a non-profit basis. In Norway, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel is managed by the Norwegian Ecolabelling Foundation, which is a non-commercial foundation. All fees are reinvested in the running of the scheme. You can read the Norwegian Ecolabelling Foundation’s annual reports here.
