Nordic Ecolabelling are developing criteria for window replacement and you are welcome to comment on the proposal by September 4th.
Window replacement as a service includes the entire process from visiting the customer to make the necessary measurements and calculations, installing new windows and handling the windows that have been replaced. Nordic Swan Ecolabelled window replacement has an environmental effect through the fact that energy/environmentally poor windows are replaced by Nordic Swan Ecolabelled windows which are among the best environmentally, and that the glass in the windows that are removed is recycled and used in new windows.
We are asking for views and comments on the proposal as a whole and specifically on the following points:
- The Product group definition – What can carry the Nordic Swan Ecolabel?
- O4 Identification of hazardous materials
- O5 Handling of identified hazardous materials
- O8 Recycling of float glass – is the documentation required clear and sufficient?
- O10 Ecolabelled windows – specifically the share of ecolabelled windows suggested.
The proposed criteria have been prepared by Nordic Ecolabelling under the leadership of the Nordic product manager Stinus Kappel Andersen.
